TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Practice wicket
consists of above-ground section of regulation wicket, made from s/s" diameter steel bars with the crown welded to the
legs. The crown is connected to a heavy steel support frame that stands behind
the wicket. Two steel bars, 2" square by 12" long, provide weight (40
lbs.) for stability One of these bars is elevated and located directly behind
wicket crown, the other is 12" behind the wicket and rests on the rug, as
do the wicket uprights. The lower bar
has a sponge rubber backstop to cushion the impact of
the balls.A1/8"diameterthreaded rod connects the two uprights
5" below crown. By adjusting nuts on this rod the clearance between
uprights can be changed to any desired clearance on ball, and rod is high
enough to provide adequate clearance above balls passing through the wicket.
Wicket elements are painted white, frame is neutral gray. Size and color
duplicate the appearance of a regulation croquet tournament wicket.
